Our Community

In 2026, we welcomed pupils from local primary schools to Tyldesley Tennis Club for events organised by the Atherton and Tyldesley Sports Association (ATSA), which provides sporting opportunities for primary school children across Atherton, Tyldesley and the surrounding areas.

The children first visited the club for an after-school Tennis Taster Session, giving them the opportunity to use our courts, practise their skills and experience playing tennis in a club setting. They returned the following week to take part in the annual ATSA Tennis Competition, which was also hosted at the club.

The events gave local children an opportunity to participate in tennis and represent their schools in a friendly competitive environment. Holy Family Primary School were the winners of the 2026 competition.

Since 2020, we have regularly welcomed a local Beaver group to Tyldesley Tennis Club to use our courts and have a go at playing tennis. The group will return for two further sessions in September 2026. We are pleased to make our facilities available to local groups and give more young people the opportunity to experience the sport.
