Play Tennis

Our social tennis sessions are a friendly and relaxed way to play regularly and meet other club members. Players mix in throughout the sessions, so you do not need to arrange a partner or come as part of a group.

Outside of the summer league season, social tennis takes place on Monday & Thursday evenings from 6pm, as well as Saturday mornings from 10am. While summer league matches are taking place, social tennis is held on Thursdays & Saturdays only.

For players who enjoy competitive tennis, Tyldesley enters teams into several local leagues during the summer season. The club competes in the Bolton Men's League on Monday evenings, the Bolton Mixed League on Tuesday evenings, and the Walkden Mixed League on Wednesday evenings.

Team tennis allows members to represent the club, play against other local clubs and enjoy regular competitive matches. If you are interested in playing for one of our teams, please speak to a team captain or our Club Secretary, Alan Blackburn.

Members are welcome to arrange their own games and use the courts outside organised club sessions. Please be aware that league matches take priority over general play. Any other events that affect court availability, including visits from local schools, will be communicated to members in advance by WhatsApp and email.
